Variety: 100% nebbiolo Vineyard: in the territory of Castiglione Falletto; South; South/West exposure; clayey and calcareous soil with marls; depth on the marl 1 metre. The rootstock is Kober; age of vines 35 years; density of vines 4500/hectare. Vinification: in red by crushing and destemming; fermentation in steel at controlled temperature for 10/15 days, successive skin submerged-cap maceration for 20/25 days. Racking in small wooden barrels for malolactic fermentation, then decanting and ageing in new small and second passage wooden barrels for two years. Afterwards, bottling and refinement in bottles for 1-2 years. Description: bright red colour with slightly garnet red reflections; aroma of ripe red fruits, spicy, with pleasant scents of cocoa-liquorice-leather and coffee. The taste gives the same sensations as the aroma, accompanied by sweet and long-lasting tannins ; succulent vanilla scent, long lasting, with freshness. It is a wine with still a long life.
