This bordeaux style red blend is dark purple in colour with a bright, violet rim and a vivacious, youthful character. The nose has expressive aromas of plum, cassis and exotic spice with hints of floral perfume. The Meerlust Red is medium-bodied on the palate with deep flavours of cassis, crushed black fruit, dark chocolate and vanilla. The tannins are silky soft, with fresh acidity and a focused and linear flavor profile. This wine has a long-lasting and persisting aftertaste that lingers on the tongue.
