Villa Saletta is a historic estate in the heart of Tuscany, with a rich heritage of agriculture, including, a modern boutique winery that produces a range of award-winning wines. A tradition of luxurious hospitality with authenticity at its core. A medieval village and 700 hectares of land between woods, hunting grounds, vineyards and olive groves. The first documents attesting the estate's wine production date back to 980 AD, a number to which one of the winery's labels is dedicated. This is the number one chianti, with the highest number of accolades for a Chianti ever, possibly even for an italian wine! The Chianti opens with a ruby red colour with violet tinges. It has a full, intense aroma, which recalls floral and red fruit notes. In the mouth the wine is fresh, smooth, and well-balanced with a complex consistency, recalling hints of violets, cherries and vanilla. This blend is well fused with smoky sensations. On the palate, it shows the characteristic intensity of Sangiovese, tannins that boast suppleness in their texture, and a vibrant, dynamic freshness.
