Producer Information
In the memory of Julio Camsen, his youthful days were spent working with his grandfather and father in the Mendoza vineyards, sparking his passion for this land and for wine.
After years searching for the ideal place to make his own wines, in 2002 Julio discovered a farm on the slopes of the Andes that was perfect for creating unique wines - a 230 hectare estate located in the Gualtallary valley, at 1,400 meters above sea level. In 2010 the first stage of the project began with the planting of the first 85 hectares of Malbec, with the estate taking the name of Julio's mother, La Isabel Estate.
Huental Wines today has José “Pepe” Morales as the main winemaker, agronomist Alberto “Toti” Benenati also works on the team, and recently a detailed soil study was completed with the geophysicist Guillermo Corona.
The team are also committed to producing exceptional wines using sustainable viticulture practices from water conservation to organic methods of pest control.
