The English Gently Smoked Sherry Hogshead, English Whisky Co., 46%, 70cl

The second release from the Small Batch range started in 2025 is going to be a favourite for the sherry cask hounds. Drawn from a series of casks and having a slightly lower peating level than our norm, this single malt whisky is perfect for a cold evening.

These limited releases showcase the expertise of our distillery team in using various techniques to bring out the depth of flavours in our exceptional stocks of single malt whiskies.

The Nose

Lots of burnt sugar, rich toffee and sweet smoke; gaining apples with the addition of water

The Palate

A rich palate with smooth, pronounced notes of smoke, smoked apple, cinnamon, vanilla, dried fruits and orange peel

Finish

A lovely, long, sweet and smokey finish
