Valentine’s Day is basically a celebration of romance and connection — and wine fits into that beautifully. Whether you’re planning a candlelit dinner for two, or a cozy night in, the right bottle can elevate the moment. The good news? We can help with what to drink to make your evening even better!

Valentine’s Day is basically a celebration of romance and connection — and wine fits into that beautifully. Whether you’re planning a candlelit dinner for two, or a cozy night in, the right bottle can elevate the moment. The good news? We can help with what to drink to make your evening even better!

Classic Romance: Red Wine That Sets the Mood

When people think of Valentine’s Day, they usually think red wine - and for good reason. Here are some we recommend:

Pinot Noir from The Crusher, California is a top choice for romance. It’s elegant, silky, and expressive with a touch of smoky, chocolate flavours and bags of cherry.

If you want something a little bolder, Merlot gives a little more but with a soft, velvety style. We recommend Nostros Gran Reserva, Merlot - Delicate and fruity, with notes of stewed and dried dark fruits. Medium body, deliciously velvety, and delicate with smooth tannins

Rosé All Day (or Night)

Rosé is Valentine’s Day in liquid form. It’s pink for a start, but is actually quite versatile as well. Great to drink on its own, but also works brilliantly with foods; from charcuterie boards to spicy dishes. Here is a classic - 2800 Cotes de Provence Delightfully crisp and refreshing, as Provence rosé should be. Pale salmony pink in colour, with notes of white peaches, redcurrant and mandarin, with a spicy finish.

Cheers to Love: Sparkling Wine & Champagne

Not only is this Sparkling Wine a very fitting wine for Valentines day but it's made in Norfolk, too!

Flint Vineyard Charmat Rosé offers strikingly pink in colour and has the flavours and fun-factor to match. Vibrant and tangy red fruits - strawberry, redcurrant and cherry - energetic fizz, and mouth-watering acidity, with just a hint of creaminess.
